Governor Peter Mbah on Tuesday delivered the keynote address at the opening ceremony of the 2026 Joshua Generation International Youth Conference, held at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, where he reiterated his administration’s commitment to youth development and empowerment.

Addressing a large gathering of young participants, the governor described the moment as both inspiring and reaffirming, noting that the energy and determination of the youth reflect the future Enugu State is working to build.

“Standing before that crowd of young people – hungry, focused, and ready to build – reinforced everything we are working towards in Enugu State,” Mbah said.

He emphasized that his government remains dedicated to creating opportunities that enable young people to thrive, stressing that investment in youth is central to sustainable development.

“Our commitment is clear: we will keep investing in our youth, empowering their ambitions, and creating the conditions for them to lead and to thrive,” he added.

The Joshua Generation International Youth Conference brought together youths from across the region, providing a platform for inspiration, leadership development, and discussions on innovation and nation-building.

Mbah’s remarks align with his broader policy direction focused on human capital development, as the state continues to position young people at the center of its growth agenda.
