It should be noted, however, that Tinubu had earlier been accused of swaying people’s opinion in the just concluded Presidential election after a video emerged online showing bullion vans entering his Ikoyi home just two days before the election. The content of the bullion vans was however, not known till date.

He also fuelled speculations with his comments after been asked about the video of the bullion vans arriving in his compound by asking rhetorically if it was anyone’s business that he he had bullion vans come into his compound, more so, at a very crucial time when the nation was about to go to the polls.

Today’s current meeting has been touted by some to be a very strategic meeting for the now embattled leader whose grip on Lagos seems to be on hold currently, having been at the helm of affairs since 1999 and has personally foisted candidates on his party to field for elections every political year. His troubles reside with the current plans of the PDP to ‘take-away’ Lagos from the APC, after losing power to the incumbent at the national level in the recently concluded February 23rd Presidential elections.
