Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Olatunji Disu, has commended the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Lenders Consult, Dr. Shina Phillips, for his professionalism and contribution to the successful organisation of CARSPO 2026.
Disu praised Phillips for ensuring the smooth running and professional presentation of the programme, noting that the conference had so far progressed without hitches.
The Inspector-General also commended Lenders Consult for putting together what he described as an impressive programme, expressing satisfaction with the organisation of the conference and the calibre of experts assembled for the event.
Speaking about his experience at CARSPO 2026, Disu described the programme as a wonderful initiative, saying his initial concerns were allayed after witnessing the calibre of lecturers and experts participating in the conference.
He particularly highlighted the participation of retired senior police officers, including two former Inspectors-General of Police, who shared their experiences and perspectives on national security and issues surrounding the 2027 general elections.
According to Disu, retired Inspector-General of Police, Usman Ali Baba, drew from his experience during the 2023 general elections to provide participants with insights, solutions and advice on addressing emerging security and electoral challenges.
The IGP said Baba also encouraged participants to return to their respective communities and recreate the kind of engagement and knowledge-sharing witnessed at CARSPO 2026.
Disu described the lectures delivered at the conference as stimulating, didactic and educative, adding that participating police officers were pleased to be part of the programme.
