Siminalayi Fubara has declared support for Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 election, saying Nigeria remains in “safe hands” under the president’s leadership.

Fubara made the remarks on Thursday in Port Harcourt while opening a meeting of the Southern Nigeria Traditional Rulers Council, where he urged Nigerians to back Tinubu’s re-election to sustain ongoing reforms and development efforts.

He described the president as a “dedicated and highly patriotic” leader and said continuity was necessary to consolidate progress already recorded.

The governor said, “If Tinubu is re-elected in 2027, we are all witnesses to the transformation of our battered economy and the ongoing infrastructural revolution… in just three years.”

He added, “Although challenges remain… we all trust in Mr President’s Renewed Hope Agenda and dedication to safeguarding our nation.

Fubara insisted that “no coach changes a winning team,” urging Nigerians to support the president to continue implementing his “bold, daring and ambitious vision.”

He also stressed that the country is in “capable hands” under Tinubu, noting progress in economic recovery and infrastructure despite existing challenges.

The governor called for unity, particularly among southern stakeholders, saying collaboration with the federal government would help drive inclusive and sustainable national development.
