The All Progressives Congress in Ogun State has fired an early political salvo ahead of 2027, throwing its full weight behind Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term while anointing Solomon Olamilekan Adeola as its consensus governorship candidate.

The high-stakes decision was sealed on Monday during a strategic caucus meeting at the party’s state secretariat, signaling what insiders describe as a calculated move to consolidate power and avoid internal fractures before the next election cycle.

Senator  Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, didn’t hold back in his response, expressing gratitude to party leaders and stakeholders for the confidence placed in him.

He pledged to justify the endorsement, vowing not to disappoint those who backed his emergence.

The meeting drew a powerful lineup of party heavyweights, including Governor Dapo Abiodun and his deputy Noimot Salako-Oyedele, alongside former governors Olusegun Osoba and Ibikunle Amosun.

Party insiders say the gathering wasn’t just symbolic—it was part of a broader strategy to tighten ranks, assess the political terrain, and position the party for dominance in the state.

With top party officials, lawmakers, and key stakeholders all in attendance, the message from Ogun APC was unmistakable: unity first, 2027 next.
