President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Tuesday received His Highness Sheikh Shakhboot Bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), at the State House, Abuja.
Afrilensnews reports that the high-level diplomatic meeting comes amid growing cooperation between Nigeria and the UAE in key areas, including trade, investment, security, aviation and economic development.
The brief announcement was made by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, who shared the update on his official X (formerly Twitter) account.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu received His Highness Sheikh Shakhboot Bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) at the State House on Tuesday.”
Although details of the discussions were not immediately disclosed, the visit is expected to further deepen bilateral relations between Nigeria and the UAE, following recent efforts by both countries to strengthen diplomatic and economic engagements.
The meeting also underscores the Tinubu administration’s drive to attract foreign investment, expand international partnerships and enhance cooperation with strategic allies in the Middle East.
