Governor Hope Uzodimma has thrown his weight behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid, citing the administration’s ongoing reforms and development initiatives as reasons for continued support ahead of the 2027 general election.
Afrilensnews reports that the endorsement came during the Grand Endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for a second tenure held at the Abakaliki Township Stadium, where members of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA) from across the state were formally inaugurated.
According to Uzodimma, the ambassadors have been entrusted with the responsibility of taking the message of the Tinubu administration to the grassroots and educating citizens on the impact of government policies and programmes.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s achievements continue to earn commendation and support from Nigerians nationwide. As Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA), we remain committed to informing citizens about the administration’s reforms and initiatives, fostering greater understanding, appreciation, and engagement with its vision and progress,” he stated.
The governor explained that members of the group were inaugurated with a mandate to communicate the policies and initiatives of the Federal Government to communities across the country.
“At the Grand Endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for a second tenure, held at the Abakaliki Township Stadium, members of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA) across the State were inaugurated with the mandate of clearly communicating the policies and initiatives of Mr. President,” Uzodimma said.
He added that the initiative would focus on reaching citizens at the grassroots level and highlighting the benefits of ongoing reforms.
“This responsibility entails reaching every corner of the grassroots, enlightening citizens on these policies, and demonstrating their impact on the growth, development, and prosperity of our nation.
It is for this reason that we proudly endorse President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second tenure,” he noted.
Uzodimma further argued that continuity in governance would enable the administration to consolidate gains already recorded in key sectors of the economy and national development.
“We believe that the ongoing reforms must continue, strengthening national stability, accelerating development, and advancing the Renewed Hope agenda for the benefit of all Nigerians,” he added.
The endorsement is the latest in a series of political declarations by supporters of the President who maintain that the administration’s economic and governance reforms require additional time to yield long-term benefits.
Supporters contend that continuity would help sustain policy implementation, while critics continue to raise concerns over the immediate socio-economic challenges facing many Nigerians.
Political observers say the growing endorsements could shape early conversations ahead of the 2027 presidential election, potentially strengthening Tinubu’s political base while intensifying debates over the performance and direction of the current administration.
