The Directorate of Organisation of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu (PBAT) Presidential Campaign Council has expressed satisfaction with the turnout and smooth conduct of its rally in Kaduna State, pledging to replicate the success across other parts of the country ahead of the 2027 general election.
Senator Osita Izunaso, who represents Imo West Senatorial district in the National Assembly and the Director of the campaign council, disclosed this on Wednesday in Abuja after the directorate’s inaugural meeting.
Izunaso said the meeting reviewed the Kaduna rally and expressed satisfaction with the turnout, organisation and overall conduct of the event, describing the outing as successful.
Afrilensnews reports that the senator commended the Kaduna State Government, led by Governor Uba Sani, for its efforts in ensuring the success of the rally.
He said the council would engage other state governors to ensure adequate preparations and effective coordination of presidential campaign activities in their respective states.
According to Izunaso, the next phase of the campaign will feature rallies in Cross River State on November 2, Gombe State on November 3, Nasarawa State on November 4, and Ekiti State on November 5.
He added that a South-South zonal rally would hold in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on November 7.
“We have mapped out our strategy on how to go about these things that I mentioned in the first phase of our campaign,” he said.
The senator also dismissed suggestions that the massive crowd at the Kaduna rally had been artificially generated using artificial intelligence (AI).
Responding to questions from journalists, Izunaso insisted that the turnout was genuine, maintaining that the stadium was filled to capacity from the early hours of the event.
“No, that is not true. We don’t rely on rumours here. We rely on practicality,” he said.
“If you are in Kaduna, by 8 a.m. that morning, the stadium would be filled to the brim. Even to have access to enter the stadium was a problem. And these things were live. They were streamed live.”
On whether the campaign council would attract an even larger crowd in Kano State, Izunaso expressed confidence that the rally would surpass the Kaduna turnout, citing Kano’s larger population.
“I can tell you that we’re going to have more crowds in Kano. Kano has more population than Kaduna. We have more people in Kano than in Kaduna,” he said.
Asked about the strategy for mobilising supporters and the expected turnout, the senator declined to disclose specific details, saying the council’s approach would become evident when the campaign team arrived in the state.
He reaffirmed the council’s commitment to taking the presidential campaign to every state of the federation, expressing optimism that the success recorded in Kaduna would be reflected in subsequent rallies as preparations continue for the 2027 general election.
