The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, has postponed his scheduled live media chat earlier fixed for 6pm on Monday, November 2, 2026.
The Office of the Speaker announced postponement in a statement issued on Monday, citing other pressing national engagements as reason for the decision.
In the statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Musa Abdullahi Krishi, the Office said a new date for the media engagement would be communicated to members of the public in due course.
Meanwhile, the Office expressed regret over any inconvenience caused by postponement and thanked members of the public and other concerned parties for their understanding and cooperation.
The live media chat was expected to provide an opportunity for Speaker Abbas to respond to questions on national issues, legislative activities and other matters of public interest.
