BREAKING: Court Orders Sowore Remanded In Kuje Prison Over Absence From Proceedings

Human rights activist and former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has disclosed that Justice M.G. Umar of the Federal High Court, Abuja, ordered his remand in Kuje Correctional Centre following what he described as his only absence from court since the commencement of the case against him.

Afrilensnews reports that Sowore, in a statement posted on his social media platforms, said the court issued the remand order despite explanations from his new lead counsel, Olumide-Fusika, SAN, that he was away consulting with his legal team.

According to Sowore, “Justice M.G. Umar of the Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered that I be remanded in Kuje Prison for my one absence from court since the bogus case began, even though I was away consulting with my new legal team led by Olumide-Fusika, SAN.”
