Yoruba leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have thrown their weight behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid, pledging to ramp up grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 polls.
The resolution was reached during an interactive meeting at the presidential villa in Abuja, where party stakeholders and newly inaugurated executives from the six area councils gathered to strategise.
In a communiqué issued after the meeting, the leaders made their position clear: “The meeting unanimously reaffirmed unwavering support for the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. We will work collectively towards the continued growth of the APC and the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.”
They also committed to aggressively promoting the administration’s “renewed hope” agenda across wards and communities, while mobilising Yoruba residents in the FCT to take a more active role in party affairs and upcoming elections.
The group urged increased political participation, public awareness, and community engagement among residents, insisting that sustained grassroots involvement is key to strengthening governance and securing victory for the APC in 2027.
