Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has declared that the 2027 presidential election will be his final attempt at Nigeria’s top office.
Atiku, who has been in the presidential race since 1992, made the revelation during an interview on Prime Time on Arise Television on Wednesday.
“The 2027 election will be my last outing,” he said.
Responding to questions on why Nigerians should still consider him after multiple attempts and concerns about his age, the former Vice President argued that Nigeria’s core challenge remains leadership.
He added that he embodies both experience and vision, saying he represents the past and the future of the country.
Atiku also stressed the need for structured leadership training for young Nigerians, insisting that the nation’s progress depends on building a new generation of capable leaders.
