In a Press Statement issued on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, the Emerging Political Leaders Forum, South East Zonal Office publicly congratulated Senator Patrick C. Ndubueze on his emergence as the winner at the APC Primaries for Imo North Senatorial District.
In the Text sign by the South East Zonal Convener of the Forum, Comr. Ogechukwu Nnamene, the group described the victory of Sen. Ndubueze as well deserving and a reward for excellent representation, citing the numerous developmental strides of the Legislator which included the Act Establishing the Federal University Okigwe and near completion of re-electrification work in Okigwe.
The Text went on to assert that since the return of Democracy to Nigeria in 1999, Imo North District has never fared this well or had such impactful representation in the Senate.
“Engr. Ndubueze has shown that sheet willpower, hard-work and trust in God can achieve the seemingly impossible, and has recorded what others could not achieve for the District since the re-advent of Democracy in Nigeria” the text affirmed.
“It was against this background of monumental strides and excellent representation that our Forum honoured him on his last Birthday Celebration with the prestigious Award of THE LEGACY SENATOR of South East Zone”. the Text continued.
The Emerging Political Leaders Forum equally commended the aspirants that willingly stepped down for Sen. Ndubueze, describing them as noble peace makers that have stamped their names in gold in the annals of history of Igboland.
The Text finally enjoined and passionately appealed to Sen. Ifeanyi Ararume to reconsider his stance on the Party Primary and show spirit of sportsmanship and brotherhood by unconditionally withdrawing his case in Court against the Legacy Senator.
The Forum declared that by so doing SEN. Ararume will not only have exhibited a sense of brotherhood, but demonstrated leadership and love for peace and unity of the Zone, which will earn him more goodwill from Young Leaders, not only in Imo State, but across the entire South East Zone
